Purchase bags of Welchez Coffee – a high quality Arabica type gourmet coffee grown in the Copan Region of Honduras that is available in the US. A donation is made to our clinic for every pound of coffee sold. In addition to whole beans, ground coffee is also available. Orders can be purchased on-line directly from Welchez’s plantation at www.cafehonduras.com. The coffee is attractively packaged and makes a wonderful gift. Shipping (included in the purchase price) is quick and the product is no more expensive than if you had purchased it at a local grocery store.

Abbie Pennington just returned from a trip to Honduras where she brought back a new supply of hand crafted items that make wonderful gifts for the holiday season. These hand made pieces were produced by her group of women who are engaged in their first micro-enterprise experience. Abbie, too, is trying out her entrepreneurial skills and she has learned that her employees are adept at sewing quality products in a timely fashion, but she needs help in generating more sales. She needs new marketing outlets and assistance from people who are willing to help place product in their local communities to increase her sales volume. She is also looking to reduce production costs, so if you can help with donations of air miles to assist in defraying travel expenses to Honduras, reducing shipping costs or donating bolts of quality fabric, she would like to hear from you. Contact Abbie Pennington at (610) 780-5309 or e-mail: threadsofhopeabbie@gmail.com.
